We Plant a Tree with Every Order!

Since mid-September 2021, we have committed to plant a mangrove tree in countries such as Madagascar, Kenya, Ethiopia and Mozambique for every order placed with us, so you can feel even better about shopping with us.

We are very proud to be partnered with Ecologi, an amazing environmental initiative, helping to take on the climate crisis in the form of planting trees and reducing our carbon footprint. They are partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects, who hire local people to grow, plant, and guard to maturity the trees planted, through funding from the wider community – on a huge scale.

We also give a percentage of our profits to fund carbon offsetting projects, so that we know Sand & Salt is playing its part to help sustain our amazing, beautiful planet.

Why Mangroves?

The mangrove trees planted by Eden Reforestation Projects capture up to four times as much carbon per acre than tropical rainforests, and their root systems provide nurseries and shelter for three quarters of tropical fish! Going forwards, we hope to be able to support other initiatives to broaden the difference that we, and you, can make.
