Instructions for Use

For best results when lighting for the first time, allow wax to melt to the sides of the jar, ensuring a consistent burn.

Maximum recommended burn time is 4 hrs per burn. Always trim wick after each burn to 1/8 inch by breaking or cutting off the burnt ends when cool.

 Delivery

Domestic Shipping

We will aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible. The delivery costs for orders to a UK address are as follows;

£4 - Standard 2-5 working day delivery

£6 - Expedited 1-2 working day delivery

Delivery costs are subject to change without notice but will always be clearly stated at the time of checkout. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any delays which may occur after your order has entered the postal system.

Please note that Expedited Delivery will be suspended from time to time for short periods, due to staff absence/holiday. Available shipping options will always be shown at checkout.

From time to time, and at our discretion, we may offer Free Standard Shipping on UK orders for limited periods.

We reserve the right to change our delivery costs at any time without notice to you. The cost of your delivery will always be confirmed at the time when your order is placed.

Items being delivered within the UK will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked, DPD or Evri tracked courier service.

 

International Shipping

For Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, Canada, Australia and New Zealand we charge between £12 and £29 per order, depending on the destination.

Shipping to the EU

Unfortunately, we have had to suspend international delivery to Europe and Northern Ireland, due to issues arising from Brexit. We are working hard to reinstate our European shipping options as soon as possible.

Shipping to the USA

Following a US executive order, from 29th August 2005, goods valued at $800 or less will no longer be exempt from import duties and taxes. If you wish to place an order with delivery to the US, please get in touch so that we can provide a custom invoice, to include PDDP charges (postal delivery duties paid).

We use a tracked and/or signed for Royal Mail service so delivery times can vary depending on destination, but you should allow up to 14 days for delivery. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout, but if you would like a customised quote or to enquire about more shipping options, please get in touch at hello@sandandsalt.co.uk

Please note that the maximum weight per order to international destinations is 2kg. Please get in touch if you would like to place a large order, or a particularly small order, so that we can advise custom shipping rates.

For delivery to international addresses not listed, please get in touch prior to ordering and we will do all we can to help.

At this time we only ship to the UK and those countries listed above. If you live elsewhere and would like to make a purchase please email prior to placing an order and we will endeavour to notify you of the relevant posting charges and the procedure to follow. 

Please note that all orders are sent from the United Kingdom and we cannot accept any liability in respect of import duties or taxes which may be levied in international orders. Any customs or import duties will be charged once a parcel reaches the destination country. Any additional charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel (for USA orders, please see separate information above). Unfortunately, we do not have any control over these charges and advise you contact your local customs office for current charges before placing the order.

 

Returns and Exchanges

We hope you love your purchased items as much as we do! In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your goods, please email us within 14 days of receipt of your parcel with your order number and reason for your return. We will happily refund unused items sent to us in their original packaging but please ensure that all items are returned clean, unused and have all of their tags.

We will respond to your email providing an address for your return, and you'll then have 28 days to return the item to us. We can only refund the PayPal account or credit card originally used for payment. Please note that we don't refund delivery charges and you'll be responsible for the cost of return postage.

For goods received that are faulty and unused, please email us at hello@sandandsalt.co.uk stating the order number and nature of the problem.

If returns are damaged, soiled, washed or used, the products may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer and/or a refund refused.

We can only offer exchanges for alternative colours of the same product and all exchanges are subject to availability on receipt of the returned goods. Please identify if you would like a return or exchange on the return email.

Sand and Salt will not be liable for your returned items while they are in transit back to us, and we would recommend using a tracked delivery service for your own peace of mind.
